Rachel Floran

Rachel has worked in people-oriented fields in both the public and private sectors for many years. Most recently, she was a teacher at Washburn Elementary School where she taught art to kindergarten through sixth grade students.

Rachel's husband worked for the Nation Park Service as a law enforcement ranger. They had the privilege to live and work is some beautiful parks from the east coast to the west coast, even living on Whidbey and San Jaun Islands in Washington State.

She enjoyed raising her two boys near the Big Lake both around the Chequamegon Bay and in Grand Marais, Michigan. Now, she enjoys visiting and taking in new adventures with them whenever she can.

 Her pastimes include spending time with family and friends, cooking, feeding and watching the birds, reading, gardening, traveling, hiking, camping and sky watching.
